Formerly played in the Neath area leagues since at least the mid-70s, working themselves up from the third division to the premiership by then end of the 1985-86 season. A yo-yo period saw them alternate between the Premier and First divisions until they succeeded in establishing themselves in the Premier League at the end of the 1996 - 97 season.

Runners up in 1998 - 99 they were crowned champions in 2001 - 02 and proudly took up their place in the Welsh League. They are now slowly adapting themselves to the increased pace of football in the Welsh League.
